This 15,000rpm SCSI hard disk drive (HDD) option helps satisfy midrange to entry-level data-storage applications for IBM eServer xSeries systems and IBM eServer BladeCenter. Take advantage of hot-swap SCSI technology with 15,000rpm HDDs to provide opportunity for large SCSI devices to be inserted directly into server systems and improve scalability to support future interface speeds. Each drive is contained in a 3.5-inch, 1-inch high, slim-line form factor that allows maximum installations in supported xSeries servers. This hot-swap HDD is engineered to support the entry to midrange level enterprise server applications, and it can support the new BladeCenter SCSI Storage Expansion Unit.
