Overview

PowerWalker VI MS is a line-interactive UPS series with multiple sockets. 4 sockets with battery backup for critical loads and 4 sockets with bypass for non critical loads. The integrated AVR function ensures clean and stable output during power outages or voltage fluctuations. The UPS functions can be monitored and controlled via USB communication, either with a software or without (HID).

The multi socket design makes the VI MS series especially suitable for home and office applications. The UPS can be used on top of a desk or it can be mounted to a wall. Applications include home office, workstations, NAS etc.

Furthermore, the USB charging port (2.1A) offers additional functionality, and the design allows access to the battery compartment via the back panel for easy battery replacement.

Specification

Technical Description: PowerWalker VI 1000 MS FR uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Line-Interactive 1 kVA 600 W 8 AC outlet(s)

Battery
Charging current:
1 A
Battery recharge time:Approximate time required to recharge the battery from completely empty to completely full
8 h
Typical backup time at half load:The amount of time that a backup energy source (e.g. UPS - Uninterruptible Power Source) can power the device for, when the backup energy source is half-loaded (50% of capacity).
1.2 min
Typical backup time at full load:The amount of time that a backup energy source (e.g. UPS - Uninterruptible Power Source) can power the device for, when the backup energy source is fully loaded (100% of capacity).
0.1 min
Number of batteries supported:The number of batteries that can be used with the product.
1
Battery voltage:The voltage (V) of the battery.
12 V
Battery capacity:The amount of electric charge a battery can deliver at the rated voltage. The more electrode material contained in the cell the greater its capacity. A small cell has less capacity than a larger cell with the same chemistry, although they develop the same open-circuit voltage. Capacity is measured in units such as amp-hour (A·h).
9 Ah

Design
LED indicators:
Yes
Product colour:
Black
Form factor:The shape or design of the product.
Compact

Features
Power protection features:Features that protect the device against power problems e.g. overload.
Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overload
Noise level:The amplitude level of the undesired background noise, usually measured in decibels (db).
40 dB
Output power factor:
0.6
Response time:The response time is the time difference between the moment that a source (for example a video card) sends a signal and that equipment (for example a monitor) receives or display the signal. (Used abbreviations: R/F = Rise and Fall.)
6 ms
Surge energy rating:A surge protector is an appliance designed to protect electrical devices from voltage spikes. A surge protector attempts to limit the voltage supplied to an electric device by either blocking or by shorting to ground any unwanted voltages above a safe threshold. The surge energy rating is a measure of how much energy a surge protector can theoretically absorb in a single event, without failure.
156 J
Output operation voltage (max):The maximum output voltage produced by the device.
230 V
Input frequency:The frequency (Hz) which is required to power the product.
50/60 Hz
Input operation voltage (max):The maximum input voltage supported by the device.
280 V
Input operation voltage (min):The minumum voltage needed by the device during operation.
170 V
Waveform:
Sine
Output power:The power that the device can produce.
600 W
Output power capacity:The maximum power that the device can produce.
1 kVA

Ports & interfaces
Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports:Number of Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports allow a computer to connect to the ethernet.
1
RS-232 ports:The number of sockets (ports) for RS-232. An RS-232 serial port was once a standard feature of a personal computer, used for connections to modems, printers, mice, data storage, uninterruptible power supplies, and other peripheral devices. Now it has been largely replaced by USB and other ports.
1
Serial interface:
Yes
USB port type:
USB Type-B
USB port:Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals (including keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters) to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.
Yes
AC outlets quantity:The number of sockets in the device where AC electrical power can be connected.
8 AC outlet(s)
AC outlet types:The type of outlet for AC electricity.
Type E
